Co-Director of the Swiss-Prot group at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, overseeing the development of key bioinformatics resources including SwissLipids, Rhea, HAMAP, and PROSITE. A biologist by training, with research experience in molecular and cell biology with a focus on cancer research, complemented by specialist training in bioinformatics.

Within Recon4IMD, works on mapping membrane compartments and enzyme localisation across the lipid metabolic network, alongside curating lipid transfer proteins and transporters that interconnect key metabolic reactions.
